Opinion: Gender-Responsive Pedagogy in Early Childhood Education
 
Rather than confusing children, gender-responsive pedagogy provides them with the language and tools to understand and navigate a diverse world, cultivating empathy, critical thinking and respect for others.
 
Dr. Jarred H Martin (Department of Psychology, University of Pretoria) and Pierre W Brouard (Centre for sexualities, AIDS & Gender, University of Pretoria) explore the value of gender-responsive pedagogy in early childhood education in a new opinion piece published on LitNet (28 May 2025).
