Non-Competitive Registration

The 2025/26 registration opens as of 1 May 2025

The annual club membership fee is R1785.00

Winter drop-in times (April to October)

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (12h30 - 14h00)

Pool cleaning time: 12h30 - 14h00 on Wednesdays (Registered non-competitive members are only allowed)

Saturdays: 12h30 - 13h30 (3 lanes only)

The pool remains covered from Saturday 13h30 until Monday to retain the heat

Summer drop-in times (Mid-October to March)

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (10h00 - 14h00)

Pool cleaning time: 13h00 - 14h00 on Wednesdays (Registered non-competitive members are only allowed)

Saturdays & Sundays: 12h00 - 14h00 (3 lanes only)

Important info to take note of:

  • Swimming will be at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty during the week.
  • The Tuks 50m pool will close on 15 Dec and re-open on 8 January 2025 for the annual filter repair work.
  • Drop-in times might be amended from March due to the pool being covered by the heat blankets.
  • There will be access control at the swimming pool and you will need an access card to open the turnstile.

 

UP Staff and Students 

The Tuks 50m swimming pool is open for Staff and Students with a valid and current staff/student card as follows: 

                                               Mid October to 30 November 

                                               1 February to 30 April

The pool is CLOSED from 1 May and will re-open mid-October

You can only continue swimming from 1 May if you register as a Non-Competitive Swimmer. 

Drop-in times:

  • Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri - 10h00-14h00
  • Wed - Pool Cleaning, no swimming
  • The pool is closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Important info to take note of:

  • The Tuks 50m pool will close on 30 November and re-open on 1 February for staff and students until 30 April
  • Drop-in times will be amended from March due to the heat blankets being used.
  • Swimming will be at your own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty.
  • There will be access control at the swimming pool and you will have to present your Staff or Student Card to be given access at the security gate.
  • No access card presented will result in no access to the pool.
  • Wear swimming attire (swimming costume), no swimming in underwear or sportswear will be permitted. NB: Women must always wear a swimming cap.
