South African National Championships 2014

Saturday started with heats in the smaller boat events. The majority of our athletes qualified for the finals which took place the following day. The event experienced good weather over the weekend and the rowers enjoyed some tough racing, especially on Sunday.

TuksRowing won the most championship events compared to the rest of the field. Tuks also walked away with the Jim Rogers Trophy for the 2nd year running. The women took home the Severin Trophy for the Women’s A single Scull , The Ravens Trophy for the Women’s A Double Scull for the 2nd year running and the Culemburg Trophy for the Women’s A Eight for the 2nd year running. The men took home the Sean Tregoning Memorial trophy for the Men’s A Coxless pairs for the 4th year running.
