Yuvika Singh is a lecturer at the School of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Yuvika holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Yuvika is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Computer Science. Her research interests lie in the Machine Learning domain. In particular, she is currently looking at Deep Learning for medical imagining, specifically Lung Cancer Diagnosis. She has been lecturing at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Computer Science department since 2020. She is actively involved in the supervision of postgraduate students. She had also worked as a Software Developer at a software simulations company, and for an Astrophysics and Machine Learning focused Non-Profit Company where she acted in the capacity of the Lead Data Scientist. Yuvika is a member of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence (CAIR), and a part of the organising committee of the Southern African Conference for Artificial Intelligence Research (SACAIR). Yuvika had also served as a reviewer for Machine Learning conferences.
