Rosinah Mukhodobwane is a lecturer at the University of Venda in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Agriculture under the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences. Rosinah is offering Business Mathematics to Management Sciences students. Rosinah’s field of interest is in Financial Mathematics including an application of extreme value theory in financial time series data.

Rosinah is passionate about students’ development. Rosinah is also responsible for supervising Honours and mentoring students in Finance Mathematics. Rosinah has been involved in mentoring students from disadvantaged families, coaching and empowering them with life coping skills and also motivating and guiding them on the aspects of self-development and perseverance so that they can complete their studies. 

Rosinah holds a PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Venda  and the degree was conferred on 14^th July 2022. The topic of her thesis was Modelling volatility, equity risks and extremal dependence of the BRICS stock markets.
