Matthews Sejeso is a lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand. He teaches courses relating the mathematical optimization at the undergraduate level. Mathews holds a PhD in applied mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand. He proposed an efficient continuous-time dynamical system approach to solving sparse recovery problems arising in compressed sensing in his PhD research project. His research interests include mathematical fundamentals of data science, and mathematical modelling and optimization of industry-related problems. He has done research projects on logistics, roof-top farming and sugar processing. |
