Langelihle Mazibuko is PhD student in pure mathematics at the university of Kwazulu Natal. His PhD is under the supervision of Prof D. Baboolal and Prof R. Goswami in a dessirtation tittled “ Spacetime manifold and Scott topology”. He completed his BSc, BSc(honours) and MSc(pure mathematics) at the university of Kwazulu-Natal, his masters thesis was on Riemannain geometry and CR-submanifolds of almost contact manifolds in the filed of differential geometry. He is a recipient of various undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships that include Moses Kotane, Tata, NRF and College scholarships and merit awards in his undergraduate studies. His research interests include general topology, pointfree topology, lattice theory, domain theory and category theory. His PhD dessirtaion focuses on investigating the causal and chronological structures of a spacetime manifold from a lattice structure perspective, since the spacetime manifold possesses a lattice structure from the future and past light cones perspective. Also, the dessirtation focuses on the ideal structure of the spacetime manifold and chronal isormophisms between these structures. He is a lecturer in the department of mathematics at MUT and he has taught various undergraduate courses at MUT since 2016. |
