Ben Mahudu is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Wits and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at the same institution.

The title of his thesis is Comparative Analysis of Bornology in the Categories of Frolicher Spaces and Topological Spaces. The thesis seeks to introduce the notion of bornology into the theory of Frolicher Spaces. Ben’s research interests are in Frolicher spaces, Frolicher Lie groups, Frolicher Lie algebra, category theory, bornology and topology.

Ben Mahudu is passionate about leadership and student development. He is the former Head of Advisory, Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Wits ZCCSF. Ben is a contributor to the Wits Faculty of Science newsletter. On the creative side Ben is a YouTuber and soon-to-be a podcaster.
