Dr R Netshikweta hold a PhD and a MSc degree in applied mathematics with the University of Venda. He is a Lecturer in the Science Foundation Department at the University of Venda. His research area is in biomathematics, focusing on the multiscale dynamics of infectious disease systems that are environmentally driven in nature. The main objective of his research work is to use multiscale modelling approach to gain insights into the multiscale dynamics of environmentally transmitted infectious diseases across various levels of their organization of an infectious disease system.

Dr Netshikweta has successfully supervised 8 honours students to completion.

His research goals include being an NRF-rated researcher, supervise master’s and PhD’s students.
