Dr. Oyelakin is a lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her research work focuses specifically on modeling and solving heat and mass transfer processes in fluid dynamics. She has interest in numerical computations which may be applied to various well-defined mathematical problems. Dr. Oyelakin began her studies at Lagos State University, Ojo campus, in Nigeria. She obtained her first degree from there and proceeded to the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun State. There, she obtained her master’s degree in mathematics. She was offered employment in the school after the studies and she was with the workforce until early 2015 when she got admission for her Ph.D. at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She obtained her doctorate in Mathematics in 2018. Dr. Oyelakin is presently building her teaching and research profile at her present institution. She was recently shortlisted for the Mathematical Sciences Early Career Fellowship program for 2021. She hopes to gain more experience with her methodologies and build the essential academic and career development skills while on the program. |
