Dusk to Dawn guesthouse is situated in the rolling hills of the Mpumalanga farmlands in South Africa. It is owned by Johann and Gudrun Engelbrecht.
Dusk to Dawn is a luxurious farm destination, where you will be welcomed and treated to exquisite hospitality and attention to detail.
Gudrun is an excellent cook, and prepares the most delicious meals for her deli.

Melktert is a truly South African dessert- a sweet pastry filled with a creamy custard-like filling smothered with cinnamon
Melktert Ingredients:
Crust
100g butter
100g sugar
1 egg
300g flour
2tsp baking powder
40g water
A pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius Grease 2 x 22cm pie dishes
Crust
Filling:
1120 g of milk
2 tbsp cornflower
30g flour
200g sugar
3 eggs
10 g butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Cinnamon for dusting
