The much anticipated Law House Soccer Day kicked off on the 8th of April. Legal minds and prospective legal minds were in attendance to sharpen their warrior skills. The event kicked off with a match between the Law House Committee and Faculty lecturers, where the students were once again thought by the masters..the lecturers won.
Sixteen teams took part in the tournament mostly consisting of seven players per team. Teams like Prima Facie, Ze Germans, Los Ombres amongst others were participants in the knock out event. The teams went head to head for the ultimate prize; a chance to dine at Romans Pizza with a voucher worth R400.00. It was blood, sweat and tears for all teams crawling their way up to the final but only two could play that game. The two finalists were Ze Germans and Muranga FC; and the best team won. Congratulations to Muranga FC for winning this annual tournament they remain the reigning champs until next year. Also up for grabs was the prize worth R300.00 to dine at Romans Pizza for the best dressed team; colour coordination and theme. Team Zamalek FC took the honours in that regard, spotting their bright orange colours to lighten the day.
All participants received refreshments to cool down as consolation for being knocked out; and a warm thank you is extended to Red Bull for sponsoring us with refreshments for the finalists. To all who attended as spectators or participants, we salute you..until we meet again.
