Report on the 2012 Africa Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition

The 2011 Africa Introductory Round held in Cape Town during October paved the way for the First Africa Regional Round in 2012.

After eliminating the teams from Mount Kenya University and Northwest University (Potchefstroom campus) during the preliminary rounds, the teams from the University of Pretoria and the Obafemi Awolowo University from Nigeria proceeded to the Final Round of this Competition. 

The UP team, consisting of Tshepo Obed Seloane, Matsobane Robert Maremo Matlou and Suné Crafford (coached by Lourens Grové) was placed second in the final round. 

The Nigerian team, consisting of Olabisi Esther Adeogun, Iseoluwa Christopher Akintunde and Maryann Onyinye Nwokolo (coached by Dr Odunola Akinwale Orifowomo) walked away with the laurels and will represent Africa during October 2012 at the International Competition to be held in Naples, Italy.
