In an article in 2013 Volume 4 of De Jure, pp v – xi, reflecting on the life of Nelson Mandela and his contribution to the world, Professor Heyns concludes that “there is something to be learned about the way in which lawyers and others, each with some part of the truth, can reach out to each other across generations and steer their society with relatively few losses through the minefields of history.”
