In total there were 180 graduates who walked the stage from the following programmes: Programme for Management Development, Certificate in Finance, Certificate in Marketing, Strategic Marketing Programme and the Social Entrepreneurship Certificate Programme.
Numerous awards were presented to top students from the different graduating classes as well as top syndicate/action learning project groups. Winners of top student awards were: Craig Vaughan, Richard Askham, Andrew Henderson, Trent Lockstone, Ilze Van Heerden, Jules Hinton, Willem Burton, Gordon Von Sichart and Kerryn Krige.
The formal proceedings ended on an inspirational note with addresses from two of the graduating students, Freedom Hadebe and Kerryn Krige, from the Programme for Management Development and the Social Entrepreneurship Certificate Programme respectively. “The culture and environment cultivated by GIBS is one of champions,” said Hadebe. Both spoke about the hard work and dedication it took to complete the challenging certificate programmes and how GIBS played a key role in their individual development.
