After spending two weeks in USA with other participants from Pakistan, Malasiya, Bolivia, Germany and Palastine and travelling between New York, New Jersey and Washington DC, Simphiwe returned with a fresh perspective on the role sports plays in social development and nation building.

“The time I spent there made me realize what a huge influence I can have on other young people around me and that I have the power within me to work hard and achieve my goals as a sportswoman in South Africa”.

As assistant coach of TuksFootball’s Absa team Simphiwe has already put her knowledge to good use and is a positive role model to future Banyana-Banyana players.
