AmaTuks and Free State Stars share points

The two teams were separated by a point going into the clash, with Stars sitting just one place above AmaTuks on seventh (7th) position.

Anver Esterhuizen scored for Ea Lla Koto in the 29th minute, taking them in the lead going into the half time break, while Mame Niang cancelled Esterhuizen’s goal in the second half on the 59th minute.

AmaTuks started off strong in the game, dominating possession and testing the Stars keeper Kennedy Mweene a couple of times, forcing him to makes saves in the opening minutes.

Stars capitalized on their first real chance when Mbhuyiselo Sambu made a cross to Esterhuizen in the box in the 29th minute. Eisterhuzen headed the ball past keeper Washington Arubi, putting Stars in the lead.

AmaTuks nearly equalised in the 39th minute through Niang, but his header went just inches off the Stars goals.

AmaTuks came back from the break with a mission to get the equalising goal by putting Stars under pressure.

The hard work paid off in the 59th minute when Niang managed to beat the Stars off side trap, slotting in a great composed finish past the Stars keeper Mweene, levelling the scores.

Thokozani Sekotlong came close to putting AmaTuks is the lead in the 80th minute when his long range shot went narrowly over the Stars cross bar.

Niang also came close to sealing it for AmaTuks in the dying minutes of the match but his headed shot was saved by Mweene.

Both teams had to settle for a point on the day as the game ended 1-1.
