The visitors opened the scoring through a Sibusiso Vilakazi goal before Aubrey Ngoma levelled the score for AmaTuks. Papy Faty scored the winning goal for Bidvest Wits on the day.

AmaTuks had the first shot at goal when Lionel Mutizwa hit an on target shot in the 28th minute, forcing the Bidvest Wits keeper Andre Arendse to make a save.

Bidvest Wits opened the scoring in the 36 minute. Vilakazi scored from a loose ball after Washington Arubi did well to parry Calvin Kadi’s attempt which fell straight onto Vilakazi’s feet.

Ngoma levelled the scores in the 40th minute. AmaTuks were awarded a free kick after Thomas Sweswe brought down Mame Niang on the edge of the box. Ngoma curled the ball past the Bidvest Wits keeper, levelling the score going into the half time break.

The pace of the game slowed down in the second half, with both teams having equal chances at goal.

In the 75th minute, Viilakazi and Kadi played well beating the AmaTuks defence and making a pass to Faty who put the ball past Arubi, putting Bidvest Wits in the lead.

AmaTuks kept pushing forward for an equalizer, but time ran out as the match ended 2-1 to the visitors.
