Ketjijere passes all his Law degree first semester modules.

Posted on July 19, 2013

Ketjijere is in his third year of study in LLB at the University of Pretoria.

The Namibian National Team Captain joined AmaTuks at the start of the 2012/2013 season; he played a vital role for the team in the middle of the park while juggling his football career and his studies.

He has done well to win his place in Coach Steve Barker’s starting eleven (11), making twenty three (23) league match appearances in the past season.

Before joining AmaTuks, Ketjijere had completed his second year of study at the University of Namibia.

We caught up with Ronald who is in Nelspruit with the team preparing for the 2013/2014 PSL season.

“It’s tough playing football professionally and studying full time here in South Africa. I have been playing and studying from when I was still in Namibia, but it’s different in Namibia because the league is semi – professional and people can work during the day and only go to training in the afternoon; so I had enough time to study”.

“In South Africa it’s different because being a footballer is a professional career. I have to sacrifice my classes to attend training at times”.

Ketjijere went on to explain how he will be seeking assistance from the structure the club has put in place to assist footballers who are studying.

“I will be getting a personal tutor starting from the second semester, so that I can go to them for assistance when I have missed class and I won’t be behind with my studies”.

AmaTuks applaud Ketjijere for all his efforts and wish him all the best for the rest of the year.
