Goals by Tefu Mashamaite, Eric Mathoho and Simphiwe Tshabalala handed Chiefs their first win ever over AmaTuks.

AmaTuks started the match on the attacking foot, winning the first corner two (2) minutes into the game. Buhle Mkhwanazi managed to connect a header, but his header went wide off the Chiefs goals.

Chiefs took the lead in the 5th minute through Mashamaite after Bernard Parker’s header was cleared off the line by AmaTuks defence. The ball landed straight on Mashamaite in the box who put through a shot past Washington Arubi.

AmaTuks started applying pressure towards the end of the first half of the match trying to penetrate the Chiefs defence.

AmaTuks were awarded a free-kick in the 32nd minute, but Ayanda Lubelo’s shot was cleared by Mashamaite.

AmaTuks came back from the break with a mission to get the equalising goal.

Thabo Mosadi managed to beat the Chiefs defence in the 58th minute. He made a low cross in for Lubelo, but Lubelo was a bit far from its reach.

Chiefs doubled the lead in the 63rd minute, after Mathoho headed the ball into the net from a corner kick taken by Tshabalala.

Tshabalala then made it 3-0 to Chiefs after a defending error from AmaTuks in the 70th minute.
