The Men’s team will play against North West University-Mafikeng (NWU), while the Women’s team welcome the University of Johannesburg (UJ).

The men’s Varsity Football tournament has been in action for the past two (2) months, with eight (8) institutions (Tuks, Wits, UWC, UFS, NWU, TUT, NMMU, UCT) competing for the Championship.

Tuks has performed exceptionally well in the tournament; winning five (5) matches from the seven (7) played with only one (1) lose to TUT and one (1) draw against NMMU.

The Tuks student team finished 2^nd on the log table after beating NWU 1-0 in the last match to qualify for the home ground semi-final.

The Women’s section is a new addition to the tournament with only the top four (4) institutions that have signed their media right to Varsity Sports competing; Tuks, UJ, TUT and the University of Limpopo.

Members of the media are invited to attend the semi-final matches on 09 September 2013.
