Employee Well-being Programme at UP is here for staff

Posted on April 14, 2020

Physical health and mental well-being are vital to our daily lives. However, given the current challenges presented by the national lockdown in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, many employees may be experiencing a degree of anxiety about your health and well-being. You may also worry about how COVID-19 has disrupted your work and personal lives. Fear, panic, misinformation and adjusting to a new routine and way of working can generate even more stress. Making an extra effort to look after your mental well-being during this time will help you cope better.

EWP@UP is available to assist employees with coping strategies to build a sense of comfort and stability during these challenging times.

EWP@UP encourages all staff members who might be struggling with emotional distress or who are worried, to contact us on [email protected]/[email protected]. Counselling services are still available to you via Skype or WhatsApp video calls. Alternatively you can visit our intranet at https://www1.up.ac.za/webcenter/portal/EWP/ should you require more information on any of our services.

For after-hours emergencies you can contact UP Care Line on 0800 747 747 and UP Crisis Line on 0800 006 428.
