Dear Students,

We’re happy to announce that we’ve distributed laptops to nearly all the students who did not have access to an internet-enabled device to continue their academic work.

Not all students who applied were successful and thus we have created an appeal process for students whose applications were unsuccessful. Such students can appeal the decision on the basis of financial need or continuing lack of access to a device at home. The appeal process is only open to students who submitted an application for a laptop and whose application was declined. This is not a new application process. To appeal the declined application, please click here with all the relevant details as well as the motivation for your appeal. This will be forwarded to the Laptop Appeal Committee, which will assess each case individually.

Please ensure that you complete the form in full and return it to the University on or before 12h00 on   5 June 2020 so that we can conclude the process within a reasonable time and get back to you with feedback on your appeal. The outcome of the process will be made available on the student self-service portal on 11 June 2020.
