Vividus Ladies Day House

Posted on August 22, 2012

This is not only a first for Vividus Ladies Day House, but also the first time in the history of the University of Pretoria that a guardian has been appointed for any day house.

“We decided to appoint a day house guardian as we feel that the mentorship, guidance and wisdom of someone with more life experience are integral to the growth and the future of Vividus Ladies,” says outgoing Primaria, Jacquelise de Vries. “We decided to approach Mrs Engelbrecht after careful consideration of several candidates and we were really happy that she agreed to the challenge.”

Jacquelise and the members of Vividus Ladies feel that Susan’s vibrant, young and energetic personality will complement the house perfectly and her motivation to succeed in everything she does, together with her will to do things the right way, is exactly what they feel is needed to take Vividus Ladies into the future.

As the first day house guardian, Susan will help shape the role for future guardians of day houses. She will not only play the role of mentor, but will also oversee the activities of the house and assist them to function optimally as a day house for all female day students that are part, or would like to become part of Vividus Ladies. Vividus Ladies celebrates its 10th year of existence during 2013 and is looking forward to see the impact of Susan’s guidance in future.
