Leány’s study leader was Prof Anské Grobler, Head of the Division of Communication Management in the Department of Business Management of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. The study, entitled “The increases application of social media in the South African marketing and communication (PR) industry: an international replication and comparison study” replicated and compared an international study with the local increase in the use of social media in the marketing and communication industry.
There is no doubt that the dynamic adoption of social media will continue to have an impact on the way in which marketing and communication practitioners contribute to business success . Just as there is no doubt that Leány, who completed her master’s cum laude, is set to make a significant impact on the communication industry.
