Tebogo Modiba (1st BEng student) is a TuksChess young player and up and coming star, taking after the likes of Ltuhkela Zitha (USSA 2013 champion), Themba Nene and Thendo Mudau after having played on board two and winning all his games.
The highlight of the day was the participation of 18 ladies in a chess tournament. Unfortunately, the TuksChess ladies did not perform so well, due to the fact that most of the attention was focused on the male players. But, the ladies promised to do better next time.
