Ubuntu Healthcare Conference

Centering Ubuntu Health Care in Society 5.0: A Transdisciplinary

The University of Pretoria’s Department of Nursing Science, in collaboration with the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Venda, the South African Chair of the Ubuntu Community Model, the GlobalNursing and Midwifery Rotary Club, and the International Organization of African Nurses, funded by NRF would love to send a special thank you to all the attendees for helping us realise our dream of hosting a international conference to share knowldge and inspire.

The conference proudly hosted by UP under the theme: ‘Centring Ubuntu Healthcare in Society 5.0: A Transdisciplinary Agenda During Covid-19 and Beyond’, in partnership with our local and international partners successfully brought together participants from around the world to hear expert, high-profile speakers present the latest, cutting-edge research and theories of relevance to the nursing profession and other healthcare professionals across the globe.

We united to foster a seshego [a Pedi word for a structure in which crops (knowledge in this case) are stored for future use] for healthcare professionals from different disciplines and countries. We learned, shared and built a network for a better future for nursing and healthcare professionals!

Once again, a special thank you to all deligates as we look forward to the fruits of what was learned at the conference.
