As part of the 2022 Society of South African Geographers (SSAG) biennial conference, a number of short workshops will be presented during the conference. Participants will be able to sign-up for a workshop on the first day of the conference.

Millions of customers such as large enterprises and leading government agencies are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster. But how does it all tie back to a rainforest, online shopping and cloud computing? And more importantly - what does it have to do with GIS? In this workshop you will be introduced to the basics of how cloud computing and GIS are being used to protect the rainforests and deliver online orders quickly to you and others all around the world - all from a single laptop with an internet connection.
