The most dynamic minds in the higher education sector are due to convene at Makerere University from the 24^th to the 27^th of July 2023 for unparalleled four days conference of promising compelling presentations, workshops and celebrations.  We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from Institutions of learning from within the continent of Africa and beyond.   The 10^th DETA biennial conference is promising to provide exciting, networking, learning and collaboration opportunities for all scholars in attendance. Some of the highlights of the conference include:-

• Centenary celebration of Makerere University.
• The University of Pretoria alumni convention.
• The launch of Pan African Deans of education Forum.
• Round table discussions on topical issues regarding teacher education in Africa.

Presenters are welcomed to publish their papers through the Open Online journal, TETFLE, which is a product of the previous DETA conferences’ proceedings.
