Abstract guidelines

The 2023 DETA conference will be face to face and English will be the medium of all communication.

  • Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words (excluding title and author information).
  • An abstract should Include the following:
    • an introductory statement (motivating the research)
    • a theoretical or a conceptual framework (as applicable)
    • research design and methodology (including sampling, etc.)
    • research question(s),
    • findings
    • recommendations and conclusion.
  • Do not include references.
  • Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 2 absracts.

For symposium

For a symposium, submit one abstract summarising the overall objectives of the symposium as well as a separate abstract for each paper. Authors can submit a maximum of three papers per symposium.
