Tony Onazi Oche is a trained lawyer and international relations research expert with a bachelor's degree in law (Ll.b), a master's degree in security studies and currently a Ph.D candidate in international relations focusing on Africa’s perspective on the Indo-Pacific space. Tony is part of the UCDP Doctoral Research Cohort 2024. He is also a researcher at the African Centre for the Study of the United States at the University of Pretoria, a policy unit that the University created to enable students to learn about the American culture, politics and foreign relations. Due to Tony’s dynamic experience and education, he has multidisciplinary knowledge of global issues, geopolitics and the AI governance emerging field.
