All patients receive a thorough ophthalmic examination which include slit lamp biomicroscopy, funduscopy, tonometry, tear measurement and corneal staining. We also offer gonioscopy, iris vet test, electroretinography and ultrasound if required.
Extra ocular and intra ocular surgeries are done in the OVAH theatre. Specialist equipment like operating microscope, phacoemulsification unit for cataract surgery, electroepilation system and specialised surgical instruments are been used.
We are affiliated with the SAVA (South Africa Veterinary Association) Eye Certificate Scheme association and it is recommended for breeders to test their animals for hereditary diseases
