Partnerships and Collaborations

            

Our Department has 21 full-time staff members: 12 social work lecturers, seven criminology lecturers and two administrative officers. The practical and professional training of our social work students are being done under the supervision of nine practice lecturers.

We place a strong emphasis on integration of theoretical and practical training and have the facilities to conduct laboratory sessions to achieve this. This includes a well-equipped play therapy unit, video equipment, a one-way mirror studio, facilities for individual and group work sessions and modern electronic equipment for our staff. Students are divided into small groups for their practical training. The demographic position of the University makes it readily accessible to the welfare organisations where students are placed for their practical training.
