The 2025 Symposium of the Global Network of Deans of Education will convene Deans of Education from around the world to discuss 'Future-Ready Teaching: Global Perspectives on Integrating AI and Digital Tools in Teacher Preparation'.

Presidents, Chairs, and national and cross-national deans' network leaders will share insights on the challenges and opportunities in current teacher preparation and AI and digital technologies. The symposium will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and breakaway sessions.

 

BACKGROUND TO THE GLOBAL NETWORK OF DEANS OF EDUCATION

The Global Network of Deans of Education (GNDE) is a network of networks promoting quality education and supporting Deans of Education. GNDE is led via a Steering Committee of representatives from regional and national associations, linked with global networks concerned with education, offering faculty leaders an opportunity to collaborate and contribute, promoting equity and educational success through selected global initiatives. GNDE supports Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education.

PREVIOUS GNDE SYMPOSIUM

The Faculty of Education at the University of Innsbruck, Austria hosted the first in-person symposium of the Global Network of Deans of Education, with prof Suzanne Kapelari as hosting dean. At the inaugural GNDE symposium in September 2024 it was decided that in-person and online symposia will be convened in alternate years.
