In the Department of Zoology and Entomology we study a wide diversity of anmals from nudibranchs, to insects, fish, amphibians, and mammals including rodents, bats, antelope, elephants, rhinos, seals, whales, wild dogs and lions. As a consequence we work in many African environments, including sub-Antarctic islands, coral reefs, Afrotropical savannas, freshwater streams, urban areas, and agroecosystems. Our academic staff are affiliated with and contribute to the Forestry and Agriculture Biotechnology Institute and the Mammal Research Institute.
