| Module content | Introduction to the basics of the Ancient Greek language. Introductory skills taught include reading and writing the Greek alphabet, essential vocabulary, and elementary grammar, with a view towards equipping students in reading and understanding the language. These foundations are relevant to those interested in biblical and Christian Greek literature as well as Classical and other Hellenistic/Roman-period texts. Educational approaches are designed within the 21st century South African context. No prior is knowledge required. |
