| Module content | This is a compulsory module for all Foundation Phase teaching students. The purpose of the module is to equip students with the necessary language skills to teach in Afrikaans, Sepedi, isiZulu or Setswana as an additional language in the Foundation Phase, for communication purposes. The student will gain the necessary skills for Afrikaans, Sepedi, isiZulu and Setswana in order to use the language skills and structure as a well as the ability to teach those skills. The module is informed by the principles of additional language teaching. The module will be presented by using Afrikaans, Sepedi, isiZulu and Setswana children’s literature such as stories and poems. |
