The module comprises a study of selected capita of temporary issues relating to the law of criminal procedure. Aspects dealt with include the following:
(a) Problematic aspects with regard to the application and interpretation of the Bill of Rights especially with regard to pre-trial procedures
(b) A critical analysis of certain aspects regarding bail
(c) Issues regarding plea bargaining
(d) Diversion as an effective alternative to prosecution
