Module content Section A – Transport planning: environmental, economic and social impact of transport; transport planning process; introduction to transport studies and evaluation; public transport; functional road hierarchy; geometric road layout; road reserve dimensions; parking; preparation of a layout. Section B – Municipal services provision: water supply; sanitation; stormwater disposal; energy supply; public lighting; solid waste removal; inclusion of municipal services in the layout.
