Online Short Course on Introduction to the Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP)

Aim:

  • The Online Short Course: Introduction to the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provides an introductory background on the EAP as a field of specialisation.
Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to describe relevant concepts and definitions; describe the role of work in the psycho-social functioning and productivity of the employee; identify trends in the development of the EAP, both locally and internationally; explore and describe related fields such as organisational development (OD) in order to distinguish the EAP from them, but also to stimulate cooperation; define organisational climate and organisational culture and its influence on the EAP; and identify legislation relevant to the field of EAP, especially in the absence of EAP-specific legislation.

ONLINE/CONTACT Intermediate Short Course on Employee Assistance Programmes

Aim:

  • To equip EAP-practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills in order to promote the EAP in their work environments

Course structure and objectives:
Delegates should be able to:

  • define and to contextualise the EAP;

  • understand the rationale and functions of the EAP;

  • know and apply the standards of an EAP;

  • understand the role of the EAP-co-ordinator;

  • distinguish between EAP and Organisational Development;

  • do supervisory training within the EAP context;

  • understand the therapeutic component of the EAP;

  • market the EAP and formulate a marketing plan;

  • evaluate the EAP;

  • design an evaluation procedure.

Online Advanced short course on Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP)

Aim:
  • To provide delegates having a solid base in the EAP field, with advanced knowledge on the commercial components of the EAP. Delegates are equipped to focus on the business aspects of managing their EAPs.

     

Course structure and objectives:
Delegates should be able to:
  • administer EAP administration;
  • understand the business component of the EAP;
  • apply different pricing models in the EAP field;
  • design strategies for Return of Investment.

Employee Wellness and Train-the-Trainer

(Presented in partnership with 7 HOUR SLEEP and BSS Africa)

Aim:

  • To equip delegates with knowledge on Employee Wellness Programmes (ONLINE). 

  • To provide delegates with the necessary skills to become Trainers in the related field (CONTACT)

Note:

  • Delegates should be professionally trained and be tasked to promote wellness in the workplace.
  • Delegates do have a choice, i.e. to enrol for the first part, which is offered ONLINE, or to proceed and enrol for the second part (CONTACT/CLASSROOM), to become a Trainer.
