1. BSc (Geology) degree (or equivalent) or relevant bachelor’s degree
2. A weighted average of at least 60% for the geology modules at third-year level

• A departmental committee selects the top performing students based upon undergraduate performance
• A limited number of students will be admitted
• Performance during prior studies will be considered in selecting students. Specific attention will be given to modules repeated and duration of study

The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences is a diverse faculty with 13 departments that is supported by more than 20 centres and institutes. More than 5 000 students register in this faculty annually of which 70% are undergraduate and 30% postgraduate students.
