Admission Requirements

  1. Relevant MEd (or equivalent) degree
  2. A weighted average of at least 60% for the research component of the relevant master’s degree

Selection Process

Selection is done after the closing date, based on the following:

  • Candidates who achieved a cumulative weighted average of at least 60% in the relevant master's degree will receive preference
  • Relevant academic/work experience
  • Interviews with the HoD and programme coordinator to clarify aspects of the application, research concept note or the research interests
  • The availability of supervision capacity for the research projects in the department

Minimum duration of study

2 years, full-time
