The Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria is proud to announce that Charles Maimela in the Department of Public Law received confirmation of his successful completion of a Doctor of Laws degree through Unisa on ‘Legal issues relating to the treatment of cancer’ in the middle of June 2018.  He was supervised by Unisa's Prof MN Slabbert and co-supervised by Dr MM Mswela, also from Unisa.  

Charles commenced his doctoral studies in 2015 and completed the LLD degree in less than four years. He teaches Intellectual Property Law, Customary Law and Law of Damages.  He is a member of the Medico- Legal Society of South Africa.
