Ms Kgopotso R Maunatlala

Position, academic and professional qualifications

Refiloe Kgopotso Maunatlala is a lecturer in the Department of Private Law at the University of Pretoria. She obtained the degrees, BA Law and LLB respectively in 2015 and 2017 from the University of Pretoria. She moreover holds an LLM degree in Private Law that was conferred upon her in September of 2019. She is currently enrolled as an LLD candidate at the aforementioned University.

Academic and professional experience

Maunatlala was appointed as an Academic Associate in the Department of Private Law in February of 2018 and was employed as an Academic Associate for two years. Thereafter she was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer and subsequently appointed as a Lecturer in the same department in 2020.

Maunatlala also works as a sessional external marker for the University of Witwatersrand, where she assists in marking Law of Succession and Bill of Rights. She is also a reviewer for the De Jure Journal and International Journal of Private Law.

Teaching activities

Maunatlala currently coordinates and lectures Law of Succession (ERF 222) to undergraduate students. At postgraduate level, she coordinates and lectures Apects of the Law of Succession (ASC 801) to masters students.
