Dr Clireesh Joshua (nee Cloete)

Position, academic & professional qualifications

Dr Clireesh Joshua (nee Cloete) is a lecturer in the Department of Private Law at the University of Pretoria. She holds the degrees LLB (Stell), LLM (Research)(Stell) and  LLD (Stell). The title of her LLD thesis is “The proprietary consequences of a successful estoppel defence: A constitutional analysis".  Joshua was supervised by Prof Zsa-Zsa Boggenpoel, holder of the South African Research Chair in Property Law at the University of Stellenbosch.  

Academic & professional experience

Joshua joined the Department of Private Law as Lecturer after her postgraduate studies and temporary Lecturer position at the South African Research Chair in Property Law at the University of Stellenbosch where she taught Property Law to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Teaching activities

Joshua teaches Law of Things (SAR310) on the LLB programme.
