Minutes of PSANA EXCO Meeting with Dean

1.Marketing Plan for 2009
1.1. Introduction of PSANA to the Honours students:
- Prof. Stroh agrees with our plan, go ahead
1.2 Seminars
- Prof likes this idea as well. Make sure those invited do not poach. He will help in selecting and organizing the speakers.
- Osmond to write plan and give to Prof Stroh to use.
1.3 Open Day for the Third Years:
- Proposed date for open day: 20 July, 11am – 2pm is fine with the Dean – can be the opening. 5/6 talks i.e. more broad than the talks during the week.
- Proposed Venue: IT 2-27 – also fine
- Prof would like lectures throughout the week (about 5) from leaders in departments at UP e.g. Mammal, plants/FABI, water, Carbon/physical sciences, Benfield Centre. He will organize these talks
- Send an email out to all third years once all details are confirmed.
1.4 Undergraduate Mentorship
- Prof. would like to introduce a mentorship program for third year students (currently done in some departments)
- Osmond did this so he will get documents to Prof Stroh.

2.PSANA on the SRC
The Dean suggested we have a seat on the SRC. He is in the process of finding out the regulations as it currently states that a member of a house cannot sit on SRC simultaneously.
