The honours application process has a two steps, 1) a department application (links to forms below); and 2) a Faculty application.
- Step 1 is the same if you are a UP (internal) student already or if you are applying from outside of UP (external). Note that applications will not be processed based on 1st and 2nd year marks only. Please ensure that your correct contact details (email and cell number) are updated on your Student Portal (internal students only). Please take note of the attached closing dates for applications.
- Step 2, when applying through the Faculty, internal students will do this through the student portal (MyTuks login). This process is done under the Admissions/Internal application page in the student portal. External students need to apply online at www.up.ac.za/apply.

BSc Hons Plant Science and BSc Hons Medicinal Plant Science
All applications for admission to the BSc Honours degree must reach the course co-coordinator, Dr. Jarishma Gokul, by 30 September, with a full, up-to-date academic record.
