The Royal Society of Southern Africa congratulates Professor Trevor Nyakudya on his promotion to full professor of pre-clinical Medical Physiology at the University of Pretoria, effective 1 January 2025. His research focuses on the therapeutic potential of plant-based medicines in treating metabolic disorders like diabetes. Prof. Nyakudya is also actively involved in physiology education and mentorship across Africa.
