Module content

Formulation and application of breeding objectives. Animal recording systems and international guidelines for evaluation. Specie-specific breeding systmes. Breeding objectives and selection programmes for beef and dairy cattle, small stock, poultry, pigs and companion animals. Selection of tTraits of economic importance and the efficiency thereof. Crossbreeding systems in meat producing farm animals. Breed development.
