| Module content | Not offered in 2014 In this introductory module the path-breaking theoretical texts of leading schools of thought and theoreticians in the field of culture and media study will be studied. Questions will be asked about key concepts such as 'culture', 'media', “communication”, “Marxism”, “structuralism”, “feminism” and “postcolonialism” and their historical roots. The evolution of these approaches to culture and media as well as current developments in the field of study will be explored. |
